THEY ARE ALSO A TRAINING SITE FOR ECU STUDENTS INVOLVED IN RECREATION THERAPY. GENERATIONS CONTINUES TO BE INVOLVED IN THE INTERNET EMPOWERMENT PROJECT, A PLAN THAT TRAINS SENIORS IN COMPUTER USE AND MAKES THE INTERNET AVAILABLE TO THEIR RESIDENTS. GENERATIONS PROVIDES INPATIENT SUB-ACUTE PHYSICAL REHABILITATION SERVICES FOR WILSON, AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES TO LESSEN HOSPITAL STAYS AND RETURN PATIENTS HOME SOONER. THEY REGULARLY PROVIDE PET THERAPY AND WEEKLY INTERGENERATIONAL VISITS FROM THE HOSPITAL DAY CARE CENTER CHILDREN (ESPECIALLY HOSTING EASTER EGG HUNTS AND TRICK OR TREAT). | Description |
