This program is available to applicants twice a year for larger projects (Major Cultural Programs, Arts Education/Arts Therapy, Creative Artists) and on an ongoing basis for smaller projects and emergency assistance funding (Neighborhood Arts, S.O.S. Funding.)The Organization acted as co-lead agency on a downtown cultural arts develop project focused on creating new arts space in the downtown (Art Center of Mississippi) area leading into the west Jackson corridor. The goal is to promote cultural tourism, specifically in Jackson with a peripheral impact in central Mississippi.The Organization continued their lobbying efforts to emphasize the importance of arts education in schools.
