THIS GIFT WAS MADE POSSIBLE BY A DONOR- RECOMMENDED GRANT FROM THE SAN FRANCISCO FOUNDATION ON BEHALF OF DEBORAH SANTANAS DO A LITTLE FUND. A GRANT OF $7,881.20 WENT TO THE NELSON MANDELA CHILDRENS FUND TO SUPPORT THEIR WORK WITH CHILDREN ORPHANED OR IMPACTED BY HIV/AIDS. THIS WAS TWENTY PERCENT OF ROYALTIES FROM THE SALE OF ANSAS AUDIOBOOK, NELSON MANDELAS FAVORITE AFRICAN FOLKTALES.THE AMANDLA AIDS FUND (AAF), FOUNDED IN 2003 WITH A $2.5 MILLION DOLLAR DONATION FROM DEBORAH SANTANA AND CARLOS SANTANA, PROVIDES GRANTS TO EFFECTIVE SOUTH AFRICAN NONPROFIT PROGRAMS TO COMBAT HIV/AIDS, PROVIDE TESTING AND TREATMENT, OFFER TREATMENT LITERACY TRAINING, ADVOCATE FOR IMPROVED GOVERNMENT POLICIES, PROVIDE COMPREHENSIVE CARE FOR AIDS ORPHANS, AND ADDRESS EMERGING PRIORITIES.
