| Description | United Way engages people in giving back to their community to advance the common good. By bringing together people with passion, expertise and resources, United Way achieves far greater results than any one group can alone. During the past several years, community members prioritized the most important issues facing our County and developed a Road Map for Change. Focused goals were set in the areas of education, income and health -- the building blocks for a good quality of life. United Way is advancing this agenda by working with community partners to set specific goals and action plans to create the desired change. Examples of the outcomes we want to achieve include making sure children succeed in school, reducing relationship violence, and improving financial stability. By focusing on issues and leveraging partnerships and resources, we can effectively and efficiently invest in actions that get results. | Description |
