| Description | Theater J - the professional theater of the WDCJCC annually presents a season of 7-8 plays that each run for between 24-48 performances. Hailed by The New York Times as "The Premier Theater for Premieres" and nominated for over forty Helen Hayes Awards, Theater J has emerged as one of the most distinctive, progressive and respected Jewish theaters on the national and international scene. Theater J hires members of Actors' Equity Association in accordance with its contract as a level 7 Small Professional Theater. The theater also regularly contracts with members of United Scenic Artists and the Stage Directors and Choreographers Society. Theater J was the 2008 recipient of the Mayor's Award for Artistic Excellence and is a member in good standing of the League of Washington Theatres, the Association for Jewish Theatre, the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington and the Theatre Communications Group. Theater J has become a key collaborator with other major regional and international theater companies and has presented work in conjunction with Arena Stage, Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company, Ford's Theater, the Lincoln Theater and the Cameri Theater of Tel Aviv. | Description |

| Description | Q Street Preschool - Provides a full-day preschool for two to five-year-olds that fosters a nurturing environment of open-ended exploration, curiosity and growth for children, teachers and parents that deepens our connections to Judaism, the community and the world around us. The school employs methods promoted by the Reggio-Emilia school of educational philosophy whereby the children's interests dictate the subjects through which basic skills like numeracy and literacy are taught.
