Recurring internal audits are performed throughout the year in all functions. An external audit is conducted by an independent auditor annually, including looking at all areas of potential conflict of interest (COI). Finally, MVH has a 24 hour, toll-free compliance hotline that staff or public may report any concerns or issues, including COI. These will be investigated by the Compliance Officer, who reports directly to the Board on such matters. For Board business that involves any COI, the member is required to recuse him/herself from the decision-making process and it is documented in the Board minutes. |
