| Explanation | Granting agencies that provide funds to LEAVEN may stipulate that the funds they provide must benefit a certain class of individuals, such as children as an example. LEAVEN, Inc. maintains a job ledger which tracks the usage of these restricted funds in accordance with the wishes of its donors. Eligibility for assistance is determined after extensive review and verification of the individual's income, living arrangements (through a landlord, for example), and other relevant information. Once the individual has provided the necessary proof of need, and other required documentation, assistance checks are issued directly to the service provider (for example, landlord or utility company).
