MCF HAS REGIONAL OFFICES THROUGHOUT THE STATE. MCF IS A MAJOR PARTNER IN THE ANNUAL CHILDRENS MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS CAMPAIGN HELD DURING THE FIRST WEEK IN MAY. TAKING FLIGHT IS A YOUTH COUNCIL THAT PROVIDES A YOUTH LEADERSHIP RETREAT AND INITIATES PROJECTS INVOLVING YOUTH TO PROMOTE ACCEPTANCE AND REDUCE STIGMA OF MENTAL HEALTH DISORDERS. MCF ALSO WORKS TO IMPROVE MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES TO CHILDREN THROUGH LEGISLATIVE ADVOCACY, A DAY IN ANNAPOLIS FOR FAMILIES, AND PARTICIPATION ON PUBLIC POLICY COMMITTEES. MCF IS INVOLVED IN RESEARCH ON FAMILY-DRIVEN CARE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND SCHOOL OF MEDICINE AND SCHOOL OF SOCIAL WORK. | Description |
