ExplanationTHE FOUNDATION IS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAXES UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. ACCORDINGLY, NO PROVISION FOR INCOME TAXES HAS BEEN REFLECTED IN THE FOUNDATION'S FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. THE FOUNDATION BELIEVES THAT IT HAS APPROPRIATE SUPPORT FOR ANY TAX POSITIONS TAKEN, AND AS SUCH, DOES NOT HAVE ANY UNCERTAIN TAX POSITIONS THAT ARE MATERIAL TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS. FOR EACH OF THE YEARS ENDED DECEMBER 31, 2014 AND 2013, THE FOUNDATION DID NOT RECOGNIZE ANY INTEREST OR PENALTIES ASSOCIATED WITH TAX MATTERS.
