| Desc | Rebuilding Alliance is bringing the world together to rebuild Palestinian neighborhoods and recognize their right to plan and build on the land they own. Our Life-Affirming Vision: A just and enduring peace in Israel and Palestine founded upon equal value, security, and opportunity for all. Our Mission: Rebuilding War-Torn Communities -- Making Them Safe. Description* We believe that if our world is to meet the big challenges that face us at this time in history, we must make peace in Israel and Palestine.* We believe a childs life can be changed for good by rebuilding her/his home and neighborhood.* We believe construction is the best response to destruction, that village-centered rebuilding eases trauma, build trust, strengthen peacemakers, and press officials to keep those neighborhoods standing.The news of the year was that Rebuilding Alliance provided hygiene kits to UNRWA schools where families took shelter during the 51 days of bombing of Gaza and funds were transferred through ANERA. We then sent a 40 container of clothing to families in Gaza, in partnership with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society and ordered backpack kits with school supplies for a shipment via container in FY2016. Fiscal Year 2015 again saw our projects win the GlobalGiving.org Bonus Day Matching Grant Competitions and place in the top three in the Microsoft Youth Spark Bonus Day! A student intern held a concert to raise funds for a music center to teach violin, viola, and cello in Al Aqaba Village. Rebuilding Alliances goals for FY2016 focus primarily on project development as we expand our fundraising to send solar lights to children in Gaza to help them do their homework despite blackouts, and also in our advocacy to keep Palestinian villages standing despite demolition orders. | Desc |
