DescNEPAL: Native team organized frequent trafficking awareness counseling classes for girls ages 15-18 in heavily-trafficked areas, and for women of all ages in other areas. Native team also reached hundreds more girls and women through door-to-door trafficking awareness program in surrounding villages, and also through monthly border trafficking awareness program for girls who passed through the border. Provided tuition, school uniforms, books, and school supplies for 22 children in orphan home. Sent two volunteers to our 'She Has Hope' rehabilitation home, one a jewelry designer, who worked with the girls in the rehabilitation program to expand their jewelrymaking skills. NEPAL: Scholarships and nutritional support provided to 46 children in the slums of Kathmandu, which enabled them to attend local schools in the city. Over 20 girls received at our trafficking rehabilitation home who were rescued from the perils of human trafficking. Our rehabilitation home in Kathmandu provided a home to these rescued girls where they received counseling, medical care, room & board, and literacy classes; they were taught skills such as craftmaking and seamstress skills, gardening, and cooking by fulltime teachers. Gardens and farmland included onions, tomatoes, garlic, green beans, eggplant, potatoes and spinach plus goats raised for goat milk and stockbreeding, all of which are used to feed program beneficiaries. Orphan home in Nepal cared for 22 orphans who received residential care at the home (medical and dental care, education, and nutritious meals through our local farmland).Desc

DescUGANDA: 25 bicycles and 2 motorcycles purchased for on-campus teachers to have more reliable transportation to and from our Uganda high school. Installation of new on-campus plumbing system and new water tower was completed; also installed a standby generator. The Rapha Medical Clinic, housed in a facility on our main campus, cared for patients on our campus and in the local community- it contains a 35-bed in-patient ward, several examination rooms, a pharmacy stocked with basic medicines, and offices for medical staff. There are four full-time nurses and one resident doctor. Purchased a small plot of land adjacent to our main campus which provided a separate entrance to our medical clinic off the main road- patients didn't have to come through the school grounds to get to the clinic, which provided less distractions and more privacy for our students. 50 women graduated from our 6-month 'She Has Hope' crafts school and purchased 50 new durable sewing machines for the tailoring and sewing class. Oncampus high school received full accreditation, and construction completed of new high school building on campus which houses the examination hall, a new science lab, the school library, the computer lab with 30 computers, and more offices. Science Lab equipped with all necessary science apparatuses, chemicals, solutions, shelves, lab tables, and chairs. Native-led team continued to diversify their organic farmland growing potatoes, collard greens, eggplant, corn, beans, pumpkins, and coffee beans. Water from our well provided safe drinking water to both those on-campus and local neighbors. Mairinya primary school provided education and a fresh cooked breakfast and lunch five days a week to 250 children ages 3-13. Children at the Mairinya primary school were also provided new uniforms which they wore on certain days of the week and to special functions.UGANDA: Kampala Children's Hope Center School provided a Kindergarten through 7th primary education taught by qualified, salaried teachers for 127 children in the slums of Kampala.
