| Desc | During FYE 2017, Virginia Hospital Research and Education Foundation (VHREF) offered a growing number of educational programs to expanded audiences from Virginia's hospitals and health systems. Workshops and seminars related to quality and patient safety were offered in support of the Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association's (VHHA) Center for Healthcare Excellence, webinars on clinical and administrative topics were provided, and three statewide conferences were held. Two conferences were for leaders of Virginia's hospitals, focused on creating a healthier Virginia and driving health care innovation in the Commonwealth. The other conference was a statewide Patient Safety Summit for clinical and leadership staff focused on improving patient safety in Virginia.
