Education and assistance are provided via our website: www.cccd.coop, public outreach, and responding to email and phone inquiries. CCCD's website logged almost 13,000 unique visitors who used the sites start-up tutorial, downloadable publications, co-op news, videos, and links to additional resources. Development assistance includes performing feasibility & business planning, start-up, expansion and related support. We continue to assist a worker co-op and three housing cooperatives that create and maintain opportunities among underserved groups. During 2018, CCCD completed a transportation cost assessment for a nascent distribution co-op, two home care feasibility studies, and workshops on worker co-op farms to related groups. | Desc | Cooperative Conferences and EventsIn 2018, CCCD convened two annual 2-day conferences. In February, our Agricultural Director and Executive Conference, was held in Fresno and included 37 participants from 16 different organizations. Our California Co-op Conference convened in San Diego with more than 150 participants. The April event launched with a 1-day pre-conference, and the two-day conference offered 34 workshops, including a 1-day track of workshops presented in Spanish, or with translation. CCCD staff also presented at conferences and events. Each year CCCD commemorates national Co-op Month with educational posts and by organizing Co-op Day at the Farmers Market, an event bringing together local cooperatives to table and demonstrate the presence and breadth of cooperative enterprise. | Desc |
