| Explanation | RST is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code except to the extent it has unrelated business income. In addition, RST has been determined by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) not to be a private foundation within the meaning of Section 509(a). RST had no unrelated business income for the nine months ended September 30, 2018. Accordingly, no provision for income tax has been provided.GAAP requires the evaluation of tax positions taken in the course of preparing RSTs tax returns and recognition of a tax liability (or asset) if RST has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by the IRS.
