| Part IV, Section E, Line 2a | Pacific Marine Foundation is entering our Twentieth year of nonprofit activity in the Northwest and Seattle area. We are a comparatively small organization, specifically organized and chartered to provide cash funding and other support only to other federally chartered '501' nonprofit arts and education programs. We accomplish this goal by raising funds through boat donations. The donated assets we receive are meticulously repaired and restored, sometimes at considerable expense to us, then sold to create funds for distribution, and for our own operating expenses. At any time we have an inventory of recreational vessels awaiting sale at market value. We contribute cash and/or provide 'in-kind' equipment and vessels to other nonprofit organizations valued at a rate of at least 10 - 15% of our gross annual receipts - as stipulated by IRS standards - and have done so for each of the past twenty years. |
