People First was approved as the nodal agency for 'Railway Childline,' a joint initiative by the Ministry of Women & Child Development and Ministry of Railways, to provide care and protection to children at the Goya Junction Railway Station. REACH A HAND UGANDA uses a youth-centered approach to empower young people with livelihood & skills development training, sexual reproductive health & rights education, and HIV/AIDS awareness & prevention. Reach a Hand Uganda founder, Humphrey Nabimanya, was named among the 100 Most Influential Young Africans of 2018. The VICTOR HUGO SCHOOL/GLOBAL CHALKBOARD PROJECT represents the efforts of local people to make things better for the next generation in a community devastated by disaster and without a public school system. They provide free education and skills development to children of all ages.AKILI DADA is a leadership incubator investing in high-achieving young African women from underprivileged backgrounds who are passionate about social change by offering scholarships, mentoring and leadership training. Akili Dada was awarded the African Woman Award by IDRC for contributions to the transformation of gender relations in Africa. ACCESS (African Community Center for Social Sustainability) provides a comprehensive model of health care services, education and economic empowerment with a focus on children and families affected by HIV-AIDS in Nakaseke, Uganda.OFFIN CHILDRENS CENTER (OCC) provides shelter, sustenance, andsupportfororphansand vulnerable children. They also provide schooling for preschool through high school students in the the surrounding community. Financial assistance is provided to students who otherwise would not be able to attend. 2018 Top Achievements: Expanded to include third year of high-school and received full accreditation. The inaugural class of 30 students will graduate in 2019; 3 OCC kids completed a post-secondary program, increasing the total number of OCC post-secondary graduates to 19; Completed construction of new toilet and bathing facilities, and broke ground on a science building. TINGATHE works with youth and young adults who are unemployed or disconnected from school in Lilongwe, Malawi. Tingathe provides marketable skills, loans to start businesses, job training, and employment assistance to help youth become thriving members of their communities. 2018 Top Achievements: 160 students received vocational training in carpentry, fashion, arts, hospitality, and other high employment industries; 150 children participated in an 11-week program teaching crucial life skills, such as sexual and reproductive health, communication, and children's rights; 320 children benefited from an educational program about gender-based violence taught through sports. DANDELION AFRICA (Kenya) immunized 2,505 children through their Mobile Backpack Nurse Program and was featured onhelloclue.com for their article titled "Boys can teach about menstruation, too. PA-O NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT (PNDO) provides humanitarian assistance to the Pa-O people and other ethnic populations living along the Thai-Myanmar border. PNDO works with communities to provide education and health services, and to preserve cultural traditions. They run 13 schools run that serve more than 2,000 students. KAZO'ZAH KEZA was featured for bringing fashion to the forefront of social impact In the Trend Prive article "How Fashion and Fair Wages Feed Families in East Africa,COMPALCIHT opened up a new school and feeding center. The number of children fed daily doubled from 300 to 600. CENTER FOR DOMESTIC TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT (CDTD) provided shelter to 20 young female victims of trafficking from Nepal, Uganda, Ethiopia and Burundi. Form 990, Part VI, Line 11b: Form 990 Review Process	The tax return is prepared by an outside accounting firm. After completion of said returns, the organization is sent a draft of the tax returns to be reviewed and examined. The organization makes copies of the returns and distributes to those individuals charged with governance. Those individuals at that time can review and if applicable discuss any line items in the return with the accountant who has prepared the return. If all items are found to be acceptable, an authorization is signed and provided to authorize the outside accounting firm to process, sign and provide copies of the returns to be filed (paper or electronically) with the designated governmental agencies. The tax returns are then signed by the organization, stamped and mailed with certified return receipt or the signed form 8879 is provided to the outside accounting firm allowing electronic filing.
