| Desc | Kupona Foundation funds supported the activities of CCBRT, Tanzania's largest disability and rehabilitative services provider. The efforts of Kupona Foundation and CCBRT aim to prevent disability, prevent maternal and neonatal mortality and morbidity, provide equitable access to affordable, quality medical and rehabilitative services, empower people with disabilities and their families, facilitate the inclusion of disability in mainstream services, and build capacity in managerial, medical, and rehabilitative services. The three program areas that received the bulk of Kupona Foundation funding and technical support in 2018 are (1) CCBRT's program for the treatment of women with obstetric fistula, including surgical treatment and recovery, the identification and transport of patients from more rural areas of the country, and their socioeconomic rehabilitation through skills training and business lessons; (2) CCBRT's Core program services, which are implemented against their five year strategy; (3) CCBRT's maternal and newborn healthcare program, including both the training of nurses, midwives and doctors in maternal nad neonatal health at 23 regional health facilities and the creation of a new, specialized maternal and newborn hospital in Dar es Salaam, and family plannin services offered at Tim's Corner; (3) CCBRT's wotk to provide rehabilitation services for children with disabilities and improve the quality of community -based inclusive development services in Tanzania | Desc |

| Form 990, Part III, Line 2: New Services | In 2018, Kupona Foundation launched a new partnership with the Dorothea Haus Ross Foundation to strengthen the network of comprehensive support available to children with disabilities and their families in Tanzania. Funds support training for parents/carers of children with disabilities, helping them to provide quality support for their children at home. Through the grant, training will also be provided to government healthcare providers to strengthen delivery of rehabilitative services in healthcare facilities and community support units. At the community level, community events will increase awareness of rehabilitation services and promote inclusion. The grant will also facilitate knowledge exchanges between CCBRT and its peers in order to strengthen the network of community based inclusive development providers in the East Africa region. Combined, these activities will drive the sustainability of CCBRTs established rehabilitation services, making quality care accessible to more children and their families. |

The Organizational Capacity Commitee chair reviews the self-evaluation at Mid-Year and Year-End, solicits input from the Board, Advisory Board and CCBRT as needed, provides feedback and discusses performance with the employee, and recommends compensation or bonus adjustments, to be approved or denied by the Board of Directors. |
