The Center operates A 150-BED COMPREHENSIVE SKILLED NURSING FACILITY OFFERING SHORT-TERM REHABILITATION/SUB-ACUTE CARE AND SKILLED LONG-TERM CARE providing A WIDE RANGE OF HEALTHCARE AND SOCIAL SERVICES FOR MEDICALLY FRAIL SENIORS AND THOSE WITH CHRONIC CONDITIONS OR DISABILITIES. Since our beginning, our REHABILITATION PROGRAM HAS BEEN HELPING cardIOPULMONARY, ORTHOPAEDIC, AND SURGERY PATIENTS to return to their HOMES AND FAMILIES AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE. Our SHORT-TERM PROGRAM SPECIALIZES IN CARDIOPULMONARY REHABILITATION, POST-SURGERY AND STROKE RECOVERY, AS WELL AS FRACTURE, FALL AND FRAIL PATIENT CARE. SCHAFFER EXTENDED CARE CENTER BEGAN OPERATIONS ON NOVEMBER 6, 2013 AT THE SITE OF THE FORMER HOWE AVENUE NURSING HOME IN NEW ROCHELLE, NEW YORK.
