$981,348$981,348Family Caregiver Support Program Title III-E:In 2019, MAAA funded fifteen (15) organizations to provide services under the National Family Caregiver Support Program (NFCSP). Services are targeted to caregivers who are any adult family member, or other individual who cares for: 1.) an older individual age 60+ or 2.) an individual (regardless of age) with Alzheimer's Disease or a related disorder or 3.) an individual 18-59 years of age with a disability. Provider partners give priority to caregivers who are older individuals age 60+ with the greatest social and economic needs with attention to low-income minorities and those with limited English proficiency. $1,496,515Data Maintenance Project:Under contract with the Minnesota Department of Human Services, MAAA provided ongoing management of the State's Long-Term Care database to maintain accuracy and currency and to conduct a continuous quality improvement process. The Data Management Program (DMP) maintains the currency of existing resource data and adds new resources based on data submitted by providers and users, data gleaned from provider websites, and lists of data obtained from regulatory and other external agencies. By the end of 2019, the MinnesotaHelp.info database contained 10,832 agencies which had 24,833 total sites offering 35,392 services. The core goal to keep data current and accurate was achieved, as 95.4% of the database had a full agency review (Last Verification Date (LVD) update) at least once within the year.In 2019, DMP's focus turned to refining the scope of the database to ensure primary audiences were best served with the data listed. This entailed evaluation of service types that were no longer focusing on older adults, individuals with disabilities, caregivers or other partnerships supported by the database. Data analysis occurred to prepare for a systematic review of all services and search interfaces utilizing MinnesotaHelp data to assist with inclusion and exclusion decisions. Projects to remove resources no longer in scope began in earnest and will be a continued focus in 2020.The DMP continues to support Home and Community Based Waiver data integration to allow MinnesotaHelp users and professionals to find providers who accept Waiver payments. By December 2019, MAAA completed the 70th generation of record integration. Additional DMP partnerships include data support for the Disability Hub and Help Me Grow Navigator. Both are separate websites that access the MinnesotaHelp.info database for disability and early childhood resources, respectively.
