PART X, LINE 2:MADISON SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA FOUNDATION INC. IS EXEMPT FROM FEDERAL INCOME TAX UNDER SECTION 501(C)(3) OF THE INTERNAL REVENUE CODE. HOWEVER, INCOME FROM CERTAIN ACTIVITIES NOT DIRECTLY RELATED TO THE ORGANIZATIONS' TAX-EXEMPT PURPOSE MAY BE SUBJECT TO TAXATION AS UNRELATED BUSINESS INCOME. THE ORGANIZATION MUST RECOGNIZE THE TAX BENEFIT ASSOCIATED WITH TAX POSITIONS TAKEN FOR TAX RETURN PURPOSES WHEN IT IS MORE-LIKELY-THAN-NOT THE POSITION WILL BE SUSTAINED.
