Description Program Srvc AccomThe 1947 Partition archive recorded and preserved oral history interviews from 2116 Partition witnesses in 2019, of which 1283 were archived by 15 trained volunteer student archivists who in total donated 3,600 hours of service to the cause. The organization directly served 2116 elderly Partition witnesses over age 75, by recording their oral histories and approximately 4230 individuals who are children of witnesses and over 12,000+ grandchildren of witnesses.The 1947 Partition Archive trained 460 members of the general public via it's free oral history workshop, of whom 108 went on to record and submit oral histories of Partition witnesses from their communities, and became confirmed Citizen Historians and trained oral historians. The 1947 Partition Archive trained and oversaw the oral history submissions of 26 Story Scholars and Oral History Student Interns in 2019.The 1947 Partition Archive hosted eight pop-up single afternoon exhibitions across four cities in the United States which attracted over 1000 attendees during the four hour exhibitions in 2019.DescriptionProgramSrvcAccomTxt
