In addition to hosting the 5th Global Conference, the Forum made material progress in providing technical assistance to the Institute of Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME), and increased efforts to drive the global adoption of Multiple Micronutrient Supplementation (MMS) for pregnant women. The Standing Together for Nutrition (STfN) work the Forum co-led with the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN) created an action-oriented collaboration between economic, food systems and nutrition models to better understand the impact of the COVID pandemic and resulted in the most significant nutrition communications success of the year. The Micronutrient Forum's strategy is predicated on the fact that stakeholders in the nutrition field need a sound micronutrient technical resource and that conversely scientific research should be informed by the needs of stakeholders such as policymakers, implementors, funders, and investors. However, knowledge without action is insufficient. The Micronutrient Forum must also identify knowledge gaps, prioritize, and coordinate and collaborate with others to fill those gaps, and effectively disseminate this new knowledge. THE PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF THE MICRONUTRIENT FORUM IS TO FOSTER DIALOGUE AMONG THE RESEARCH, POLICY, CLINICAL, PROGRAM AND PRIVATE SECTOR COMMUNITIES TO FACILITATE THE TRANSLATION OF EVIDENCE FOR POLICY AND PROGRAM PLANNING, AND TO INFORM RESEARCH NEEDS AND PRIORITIES BASED ON EVIDENCE GAPS TO SUPPORT PROGRAMS. VISION A world where all people have optimal micronutrient status for health and well-being. MISSION To promote dialogue and collective action on vitamins, minerals, and other nutrients across multiple sectors by bridging nutrition science, policy, programs, and responsible business practices for health and wellbeing.
FORM 990, PART VI, SECTION A, LINE 1A	PURSUANT TO THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE CHARTER OF THE ORGANIZATION, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS HAS GRANTED BROAD AUTHORITY TO THE EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF THE CORPORATION, INCLUDING OPERATIONAL ADVICE TO THE PRESIDENT/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, AUTHORIZATION OF OPERATIONAL MANAGEMENT ACTION AS IT DETERMINES IS REQUIRED FOR THE CORPORATION TO FULFILL ITS MISSION AND OBLIGATIONS, AUTHORIZATION TO EXPEND FUNDS NOT PREVIOUSLY APPROVED IN AN OPERATIONAL BUDGET AND AUTHORIZATION TO FULFILL THE MISSION AND OBLIGATIONS OF THE CORPORATION.
