Explanation	Monitoring of Grants - WAM receives requests from partner organizations (churches) and individuals located throughout the Middle East region who have been vetted by WAM's officers. An understanding of the sub-recipient's background and history is documented and research is conducted to assure that WAM's grants are not funding a cause that is already funded by other organizations. Grants are awarded based on what the WAM officers observed in field visits, strategy & purpose alignment. Sub-recipients are required to turn in mid-term and final reports detailing statistics of persons served, demographics, etc. Documentation, pictures, narrative reports and financial accounting is required at the end of the project. WAM officers are usually present when the grant is being utilized for additional oversight and better understanding of needs.The accrual method of accounting is used for reporting grants issued. All grants issued are reported in the accounting software (QuickBooks) noting type of payment issued, such as wire, cash, check, etc. and the name and location of the grantees.	ExplanationTxt
