| General explanation attachment | No extension was filed by November 15, 2021 and therefore the tax return is filed late. The previous business manager was responsible for engaging a tax preparer, however her last day of employment with the school was 6/4/2021. The new business manager, did not start until 12/1/2021, and did not discover that a tax return was not filed until 12/15/2021. We immediately engaged a bookkeeper and tax preparer to begin the process of completing our tax return. Upon receipt of any late filing penalty, we will seek to abate the penalty for reasonable cause as the penalty will provide a severe hardship to our organization. |
