In response to the urgent need, Pure Hands provides emergency food assistance as following: 1.Basket food distribution Project2.Supporting Bakeries and Free bread distribution Projects.3.Free meal distribution Project4.Qurbani Meats distribution (Adha) 5.Distribution of food shipmentsA total of 259,071 benefited from food assistance for the end of 2021.(ii) Health Sector: Pure Hands plays a vital role in delivering primary health care services through its health sector programs, which aims to provide access to primary healthcare, improve the response to emergencies, and help preventing diseases. 1.Medicine distribution Project2.Medical supplies distribution Project3.Providing Personal cash medical assistance Project4.Awareness campaigns.5.Supporting health centers operating projectA total of 8,482 benefited from these interventions even to end of 2021.(iii)WASH Sector:With the collapsing health and WASH facilities, transmitted disease outbreaks will continue to pose a significant threat to the lives of millions. Yemen faced the worst cholera outbreak in 2017. Pure Hands provides emergency water sanitation and hygiene services and assistance to highly vulnerable people with implementing the following projects:1.Drinking Water distribution Project2.Drilling and re-habitation water wells3.Supporting the construction of reservoirs and water networks4.Contribution in Dams construction A total of 95,281 benefited from WASH assistance for the end of 2021.(iv) Shelter Sector:Since 2015, nearly 15 percent of the entire population, 4.3 million people, have been forced to flee their home; 3.3 million people are still displaced. Nearly one-third of all IDPs (Internal Displaced People) live in the district across the country with the highest convergence of complex, and multi-dimensional problem. Pure Hands delivered emergency assistance to internally displaced people (IDPs) and conflict affected population in addition to host communities.Pure Hands Shelter interventions as following: 1.Building temporary homes for IDPs and conflict affected population 2.Winterization clothes distribution 3.Blankets Distribution4.Solar Panel systems distribution5.Eid Clothes Gifts Distribution6.Clothes Shipments Distribution A total of 16,192 benefited from Shelter assistance for the end of 2021.(v)Education Sector: Pure Hands has different activities in the area of Education as following:1.Cash Assistance and grants for low-income students2.Constructing and Re-habitation Schools3.Distribution of school supplies and backpacks4.Supporting with educational tools (electronic devices)5.School nutrition for studentsA total of 2,854 benefited from Education assistance provided by Pure hands at the year of 2021.(vi) Protection: Pure Hands has different activities in the area of protection as following:1.Cash Assistance distribution for orphans2.Cash assistant for most needy familiesA total of 5,302 benefited from Protection assistance for the end of 2021.(vii) Operation & Capacity Buildings: Pure Hands has different activities in the sectors of operation & Capacity Buildings as following:1.Supporting local institutions (administrative and operational expenses)2.Supporting service projects (roads - mosques ....)3.Economic empowerment (livestock breeding - rehabilitation of farms - vocational training supporting small projects)A total of 9,365 benefited from the operation & Capacity Buildings for the end of 2021. | Desc |
