SUDANESE REFUGEE MINISTRY ARUA, UGANDA: 750 SUDANESE people living in family groups with no support RECEIVED FOOD, SUPPLIES AND other HELP as needed TO START SMALL BUSINESSES TO CARE FOR THEMSELVES. MAMA KITS: 1,300 PREGNANT WOMEN RECEIVED MAMA KITS that contain the items needed for a Doctor or nurse to provide care FOR SAFE DELIVERY OF THEIR BABIES. Without these kits or the money needed to buy these items, the women are turned back to the streets to deliver their child. REUSABLE SANITARY PADS TRAINING/WORKSHOPS: 57 WORKSHOPS WERE CONDUCTED IN UGANDA TO TEACH WOMEN WHO LIVE IN THE SLUMS IN UGANDA HOW TO MAKE AND CLEAN REUSABLE SANITARY PADS TO HELP DURING THEIR TIMES OF MONTHLY MENSTRUAL PERIOD. KENYA Manna PROGRAM: 80 FAMILIES RECEIVED HELP TO OVERCOME THE DIFFICULTIES of poverty and unemployment. RENT WAS PAID and utilities WERE paid to their landlords and monies FOR FOOD AND MEDICINES AS THE PEOPLE WERE HELPED TO START SMALL BUSINESSES. 1.4 MILLION PEOPLE HEARD THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND BECAME FOLLOWERS OF JESUS. THESE WERE DISCIPLES AND MANY LEFT DRUGS, ALCOHOL, PROSTITUTION AND LIVES OF CRIME TO LEAD PRODUCTIVE LIVES BRINGING FAMILIES TOGETHER AND ENABLING CHILDREN TO GO TO SCHOOL. Worked in 48 prisons in Uganda. This was not to full scale but in limited ways we were invited back into some of the 40+ prisons we have relationships with in Uganda. Soap, sanitary pads, pens, and other supplies were provided to the inmates. in 2022 we had 50 volunteers, over 20,000 house churches and more than 400,000 Bible Way books printed and distributed.
