The Company was required by Fairfax County, VA to maintain the stream restoration area part of the conservation easement and has a 10 year maintenance contract in place. Annual maintenance began in 2010 with an estimated annual cost of $10,000. The forest area will be monitored at least annually.The conservation easement is on land developed in Chantilly, Virginia for use as a Corporate owned facility to replace leased facilities in the local area. In connection with development of the land, stream restoration and drainage control was constructed to meet national building and local codes. In addition 21.87 acres of forest has been set aside and not available for future development. Currently the audited Financial Statements reflect the land cost and development cost to date in the Balance Sheet. The revenue and expense statement includes approximately $10,000 of cost related to the conservation easement. Completion of the site with the initial building occupancy was in August 2014. Part V, Line 4: Intended uses of the endowment fund. STEM Endowment Fund - On September 11, 2015 the Board of Trustees approved establishment of a STEM endowment fund for the purpose of supporting and promoting science, technology, engineering and math (STEM)education. The Board of Trustees, authorized the transfer of $500,000 to the fund. It is anticipated that contributions to the Fund will be obtained from employees, retirees, and other sources, and such contributions and earnings thereon are restricted for STEM programs.
