There are two classes of membership (Active and Retired). Member election for additional members (Part VI, line 7a) All members have a right to vote on the members of the Board of Directors. Committee meeting documentation (Part VI, line 8b) There are no committees with authority to act on behalf of the Board of Directors. 990 Governing body review (Part VI, line 11) First, the Form 990 is prepared with the assistance of a public accounting firm. The Form 990 is then presented by the Treasurer to the Board at the first meeting following the date of receipt. Lastly, the Board reviews the return and asks for any questions. If no changes are to be made, the document is subjected to a vote for approval. Conflict of interest policy compliance (Part IV, Line 12c) The monthly bills are generally the same for member insurances, utilities, building maintenance, payroll, etc. Any large purchases or improvements would be pre-approved by the Board and conflicts, if any, would then be determined or noted.
