It is a camaign to banish the grey from our promient retail corridor by engaging a street cleaning service, and installing streetscape elements such as banners and murals. Community Infrastructure 42,327 Community Infrastructure is supported by projects which provide new lighting, planters, gradens, and parks to the community. Employment 4,750 Employment initiatives supporting the Center for Working Families, an employment center in the community. Job Fairs and Town Hall meetings have been held jointly to promote employment initiatives. Form 990 Page 2 Statement of Program Service Accomplishments Continued Special Service Area #47 176,891 Special Service Area #47 was enacted in an ordinance by the City Council of the City of Chicago. The special service authorized in the ordinance included but not limited to maintenance and beautification activities; new construction; coordinated marketing and promotional activities; parking and transit programs; area strategic planning; business retention/recruitment initiatives; building facade improvements; security services; social services; and other technical assistance activities to pormote community and economic developement which was commensurate with the services provided by QCDC. The Commissioner of the City Chicago's Department of Planning and Development was authorized to enter into an agreement to appoint QCDC as the Service Provider for the Special Service Area #47.
