The conflict of interest policy applies to all employees of the Central Florida Boy Scout Council. If an employee feels they may be violating the policy, they must discuss the matter with the Scout Executive. Any employee in violation of the policy is subject to termination. Per the Council Bylaws, a voting member with an actual conflict shall not vote on the matter and, at the discretion of the disinterested members present, may be required to leave the meeting during the discussion and voting on the matter. A subcommittee of the Executive Board, the Compensation and Benefits Committee, along with personnel at the National office, perform the annual evaluation of the Scout Executive and reviews the other staff evaluations. Salary comparability data is provided annually through the National Office. Performance is substantiated using a formal evaluation system maintained by the National Office of the Boy Scouts of America.
