The scholarship candidates are recommended to the Scholarship Committee by the educational institution. The Scholarship Committee reviews the merits and field of study for all candidates and approves those who meet their requirements. After approving the candidates for selection, the Scholarship Committee makes a recommendation to the Board to fund the scholarships for candidates. By way of vote, the Board either approves or denies the scholarship funding. After the Board approves the scholarships funding, funds are disbursed directly to the appropriate educational institution to cover the educational expenses of the scholarship winner. In addition, CCA has a three tier structure; national, state, and local with 17 state and 200 local chapters.
