To find permanent, loving homes for these pets, Lollypop Farm strives to provide an adoption experience that considers important details for finding the right fit for each adopter, such as a person's home, interests and lifestyle. We then match those with an animal's social, exercise, and training needs. Our adoption counselors will work with prospective families to ensure happy, successful adoptions that last a lifetime. The growing number of Pet Partner teams who are certified through the Delta Society, a national organization, brighten the days of residents of nursing homes, hospitals, children's centers, mental health facilities, and facilities that serve individuals with disabilities. S.N.I.P. (Spay/Neuter Incentive Program) subsidizes the spaying and neutering of dogs and cats of low-income owners. The assistance for these surgeries (which are performed by local veterinarians) enables people to receive financial support to care for their pets and helps prevent unwanted litters.Pet owners often contact us to seek help in meeting their pets' medical needs. Our Veterinary Pet Assistance program enables us to assist people with their veterinary costs, keeping pets healthy and allowing them to remain in their homes.Finding a rental property that allows pets doesn't have to be a challenge with the Pets Are Welcome list, which includes more thaN 200 local properties.In recognition of the integral role pets play in many of our lives, Lollypop Farm offers a Pet Loss Support Group monthly for those grieving the loss of a beloved pet.The Seniors-for-Seniors program enables adopters sixty years of age or older to open their home to dogs and cats six years of age or older by DISCOUNTINg the adoption fee.Lollypop Farm's Foster Care Program allows us to save pets who are more easily cared for in a home environment, including animals recovering from illness or injury, orphaned kittens and puppies, and cats and dogs with litters.Lollypop Farm offers Humane Education for people of all ages, teaching people about respect, responsibility and compassion for pets and all living thingS through tours, Girl Scout badge programs, continuing education for teachers, a Reading Education Assistance Dogs (R.E.A.D.) program, and summer farm camp.Pet Peeves, a completely free service for pet owners, offers advice and support to callers dealing with dog or cat behavior issues.
