F990_P06_S0A_L07a Form 990, Part VI, Section A, Line 7a The members elect four of the seven directors. (The Town and the School Department appoint the other three directors.) Terms are staggered. F990_P06_S0B_L11a Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 11a The treasurer (who is also a director) compiles the Form 990. The president (who is also a director) reads it through before signing. The other directors receive a copy after filing. F990_P06_S0C_L19 Form 990, Part VI, Section C, Line 19 The organization's governing documents are available it its own website. Statements of finance are provided annually to the Town of Wayland's Board of Selectmen, along with a report on operations, at an annual hearing with the selectmen. Form 990s are available upon request to the Board of Directors or any officer. Although the organization has always filed Form 990-EZ, changes in the law for 2010 (which lower the limit for filing Form 990) now require the longer, more complex form. We were not able to compile the information and complete the longer form until now, a week late. We do not have a bookkeeper or a professional treasurer. We are a small, community-based organization with an all-volunteer Board of Directors, some of whom also serve as the officers, and one employee to operate our local cable access TV studio.
