Under ASC 740-10, an organization must recognize the tax benefit associated with tax positions taken for tax return purposes when it is more-likely than not that the position will be sustained. The implementation of ASC 740-10 had not impact on SIFLR's consolidated financial statements. SIFLR does not believe there are any material uncertain tax positions an accordingly, will not recognize any liability for unrecognized tax benefits. SIFLR has filed for a received income tax exemptions in the jurisdictions where it is required to do so. Additionally, SIFLR has filed Internal Revenue Form 990 tax returns as required and all applicable returns in those jurisdictions where it is required. SIFLR believes that it is no long subject to U.S. federal, state and local, or non-U.S. income tax examinations by tax authorities for years before 2007. However, SIFLR is still open to examinations by tax authorities from fiscal year 2007 forward. No interest or penalties were accrued as of October 1, 2009 as a result of the adoption of ASC 740-10.
