SchI_P02_S00_L01 Schedule I, Part II, Line 1 The Lancaster General Health Campus Aquatic and Physical Rehabilitation Department received funding to purchase a Tekscan pressure sensing system. The Tekscan technology will be used to locate areas of pressure on the body that place the patient at high risk for medical compromise and to enhance patient care of those with wounds, injuries or disease that require rehabilitation. The Pediatric Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Staff at Kissel Hill Health Center received funding to support a multidisciplinary team consisting of an occupational therapist, speech therapist and physical therapist to evaluate and treat children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. The Comprehensive Care Center received funding to increase the availability of HIV Testing utilizing Oraquick Advance Rapid Testing by an additional day per week. This service will address risk reduction and prevention strategies to individuals requesting HIV testing. It will also facilitate entry into care for individuals who test positive. The Senior Services Department received funding to enroll 100 seniors suffering from dementia in the Medic Alert Safe Return Program. The program is a 24 hour nationwide emergency response service for individuals with dementia that wander or may have a medical emergency. The Lancaster General NeuroCenter received funding for a new endeavor that will evaluate individuals (particularly teens) after a head injury and help educate the community about brain injuries. This program will help identify individuals at risk for long term problems and provide them treatment to reduce the impact of concussion. The Diversity and Inclusion Department received funding for the implementation of the Linguistic Employee Advancement Program. The Linguistic Employee Advancement Program is designed to increase Lancaster General Health's capabilities of providing linguistically appropriate services to the patient population. The program will train and develop current bilingual staff as they offer interpretation services to patients. The Strategic Implementation Department received funding for the Healing Arts - Art Cart Program. This program will focus on the therapeutic properties of art. The "Art Cart" will contain a selection of art pieces that patients will be able to choose from to have hung in their room for the extent of their hospital stay. The Wellness Center received funding for the expansion of the "New Beginnings: A Healthy Weight Management Program for Obese Pregnant Women." Obesity during preconception and pregnancy is one of the biggest risks to the health of an unborn child. The Healthy Weight Management program is proposed as an intervention to promote healthier pregnancies and deliveries. The Wellspring Library received funding for new equipment, additional materials and cosmetic renovations. The library provides the community with free access to a variety of resources. No upgrades have been made to the library since its inception 13 years ago.
