Through regional trainings, on-site trainings and statewide webinars, training attendees received advanced information on GPS tracking, cell phone monitoring, and computer and internet safety. Training evaluation/outcomes include:-100% of those participating in follow-up training evaluations reported increased knowledge about technology and victim safety;-84% reported that they will include technology issues in safety planning with domestic violence victims/survivors;-84% reported that they would incorporate information from the webinar into education and information provided to domestic violence victims/survivors;-And nearly 70% reported they will change or advocate for changes in the way their organization uses technology. CPEDV aims to support and strengthen domestic violence programs, organizations and advocates throughout the state and we will continue to develop and provide training, technical assistance and resources for domestic violence service providers, advocates and allied organizations.We continue to promote our members' collective voice on domestic violence by strengthening CPEDV's statewide image and presence as the leading voice on domestic violence in California, and expanding our media relations and advocacy efforts at national, state and local levels.CPEDV continues to work with Administrative Office of the Courts' (AOC) Center for Families, Children and the Courts (CFCC) providing the courts with information, educational materials, training and technical assistance relating to the court's role in responding to domestic violence and stalking cases.We collaborate with other governmental systems that affect victims of domestic violence including the California office of Emergency Management Administration (CalEMA), the California Department of Public Health's Violence Prevention Unit (CDPH-VPU), and the California Leadership Group on Domestic Violence and Child Well-being (a multi-disciplinary representatives addressing the intersection of domestic violence and child abuse).CPEDV continued to facilitate our PPRC Immigration Sub-committee charged with looking at accessibility and equal protection issues for immigrant survivors. This sub-committee researched access and service issues as they related to police and law enforcement, courts, service providers, and others within the system. They also looked at the court's use of immigration status in criminal and family courts as it pertains to DV cases. This research lead us to develop and offer immigration trainings, as well as on-going systems advocacy.CPEDV continued to advance domestic violence prevention in California with the development of our "Statewide Plan for Prevention Advocacy, Leadership and Capacity-building (2009-2013)." In so doing, we were careful to align our efforts with other violence against women prevention efforts in the state and worked with CDPH-VPU and CALCASA to develop a "Shared Strategies" to highlight our common and coordinated work in this arena.
