These grants averaged $23,613 and were given for education, mental health, eldercare, animal welfare and the environment as well as providing needed program support for local agencies. 714925 638758 Scholarships: The Foundation awarded 262 scholarships totaling $638,758 from eight scholarship funds to new and returning college students. 145398 The Nonprofit Resource Center (NRC): The NRC conducted 84 trainings covering nonprofit management, fund development, governance, volunteer management and other topics. Over 2,000 attendees representing 450 organizations attended these workshops. The NRC also runs an online job bank, in which 209 job openings were posted for local agencies. The NRC's resource library had over 112 reference books checked out during the year and the NRC's database of grantmakers scheduled 93 sessions with local nonprofit staff and volunteers. The NRC also offers over 200 digital resources including links to capacity building websites and articles about nonprofit management. 15814 Building: The foundation offers its meeting and conference rooms free of charge to local nonprofit organizations.
