The Director of Finance reviews the return and requests any changes, if necessary, from RVF's accounting firm. Once the Form 990 has been reviewed and corrected as needed, it is then presented to the Finance and Audit Committee for review. If there are any concerns from the committee, they are addressed prior to filing with the Internal Revenue Service. Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 12 RVF has a written conflict of interest policy that has been given to each employee. Employees are required to read and sign a statement in the beginning of each year signifying that they have read and understood the policy. The copy of the signed statement is maintained within the employment records. Form 990, Part VI, Line 15: Compensation of officers and key employees is recommended by the members of the Finance and Audit Committee and reviewed at the Finance and Audit Committee meeting. This committee approves compensation, but if any concerns arise, they may review it with the entire Board of Directors. The discussion and decision is recorded in the meeting minutes. Form 990, Part VI, Section C, line 19 RVF's governing documents, conflict of interest policy and financial statements are available upon request. The Form 990 is available to the public at www.guidestar.org. These documents are always submitted in application packages for funding requests.
