Outpatient Pt III Line 9b The Hospital provides services to all patients regardless of ability to pay. Although all patients are ultimately responsible for those hospital services rendered that are not covered by insurance, some patients qualify for charity care based on guidelines established by the Hospital and are therefore not responsible for payment of all or a part of such services. Pt VI Line 4 Aria Health's mission is to provide exceptional patient care and customer service to members of the communities served by the Hospitals, and to recognize a patient's right to considerate and respectful care, regardless of ability to pay. Aria Health is the largest healthcare provider in Northeast Philadelphia and Lower Bucks County. With three leading-edge community hospitals and a strong network of outpatient centers and primary care physicians. Aria upholds a longstanding tradition of bringing advanced medicine and personal care to the many communities it serves. Aria Health has three hospitals and two outpatient sites to serve patients throughout Northeast Philadelphia and Bucks County. In total, Aria's three actue-care hospitals offer 477 licensed beds. Aria Health's Frankford Campus, located in the lower Northeast section of Philadelphia at Frankford Avenue and Wakeling Street, is a 113-bed medical/surgical facility offering inpatient medicine, surgery, emergency medical services, and a comprehensive physical rehabiliation unit. A full array of outpatient services is also provided, including an outpatient diagnostic center and a short procedure unit. The Hospital's surgical capabilities include eight operating rooms, four short procedure units, three endoscopy suites and two cystoscopy rooms. More than 5,000 inpatient surgery cases and 6,000 outpatient cases are performed at Aria Health - Frankford Campus each year. Aria Health's Center Clinic, with nine outpatient clinics that handle more than 11,500 cases for low-income residents each year is also located at Frankford. The Hospital's geriatricpartial hospitalization program and School of Nursing, which is the largest hospital-based nursing school in Pennsylvania, are located nearby. Aria Health's Torresdale Campus, located at Knights and Red Lion Roads in the far Northeast, is a 252-bed, medical/surgical facility that offers comprehensive health and wellness services for the whole family. The hospital provides inpatient medicine, surgery, a comprehensive Cancer Center, which can handle 98 percent of all cancer treatments in a friendly, familiar environment. Torresdale is also a state-accredited Level II trauma center, one of the original nine trauma sites designated by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Among its three locations, Aria Health handles more emergency visits than any other hospital in the Deleware Valley. In 1998, Aria Health opened a Heart Center at Torresdale which combines the benefits of experienced heart specialists and advanced technology with the convenience of a nearby community setting to perform more than 400 surgical heart procedures each year. Aria Health's Bucks County Campus is located in Langhorne, Bucks County. A 112-bed medical/surgical facility, Bucks County offers a wide ranger of inpatient and outpatient services including emergency medicine, orthopedics, neurosurgery, urology, rehabilitation medicine, occupational medicine and behavorial medicine. In addition, Bucks County has a newly equipped, state-of-the-art radiology department that offers everything from the general X-ray to highly technical CAT scans and angiograms. Pt VI Line 6 Aria Health reaches out every day to its patients and their families and friends to keep them informed, provide them useful health information, and learn about their health, wellness and care needs. Aria Health's media center, accessible via the Internet, is an interactive portal giving you quick access to Aria's advertising campaigns, video archive and radio commercials. Aria Health publishes a quarterly newsletter, The Pulse, that is available for patients and their families to stay abreast on current topics. Aria Health's "Medical Staff Spotlight" profiles various physicians, including their areas of expertise, educational background and training. Pt VI Line 5 Consistent with the community benefit standard, there are other factors that demonstrate that Aria Health is operated for a public rather than a private interest. Aria Health's governing body is composed of independent members representing the broad community served by Aria Health. Aria Health operates an emergency room. Medical staff privileges are available to qualified physicians. Aria Health also uses its surplus for improvement in patient care, expand and replace facilities and equipment, amortization of indebtedness, and medical training, education, and research.
