The review and discussion was lead by the organization's Executive Director (President) and its Chief Business Officer (Chief Financial Officer). The submitted forms are reviewed by the Chair of the Governing Board and the Executive Director prior to being filed with the school's authorizer, the Los Angeles Unified School District. All members of the Governing Board complete the Ethics Orientation for State Officials, an online educational program. F990_P06_S0B_L15 Form 990, Part VI, Section B, Line 15 Prior to the 2007-08 school year, the Governing Board reviewed salaries paid and other contract specifics for the position of Executive Director at a number of organizations, including charter schools/organizations and school districts across California. The current (2010-11) contract and amount of compensation paid have not changed since that time. Every spring, during its evaluation of the Executive Director, the Governing Board reviews and renews the Executive Director's contract. Contemporaneous documentation is maintained in the personnel files of the school. All of the other officers, senior staff members, and other employees of the school are paid based on approved salary schedules for each category of position. While the Board-approved salary schedules at the outset of the charter in 2003 were similar to those of the sponsoring district (Los Angeles Unified SD), the current salary schedules have been extensively enhanced to reflect changing school needs and to recruit and retain the highest quality employees. IRS Notice 2012-4, issued in conjunction with suspending the availability of the MeF system, provides an additional extension of time to file until March 30, 2012.
