Association attorneys met with state legislators and legislative staff to explain the adverse impact of proposed legislation on our clients. Director's wage was set by Board upon hire, with cost of living adjustments as negotiated for all other staff. Cost of living adjustments to the Director had been deferred during the past two to three years, and in 2011 the deferred wages were paid to her and the deferred increases applied to her salary.
