SchD_P05_S00_L04 Schedule D, Part V, Line 4 CJP's endowment funds support varied programs in the Jewish community of greater Boston including Jewish education, housing for disabled persons, refugee assistance, employment and CJP's long-term ability to provide such services in the future. SchD_P10_S00_L02 Schedule D, Part X, Line 2 CJP is recognized s an organization exempt from income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. However, certain activities of exempt organizations, to the extent profitable may be subject to Federal and state taxation as unrelated business income. No provision for income taxes has been made in these financial statements, as management has identified no tax liability. CJP recognizes the financial statement impact of a tax position only after determining that the relevant tax authority would have a greater than 50 percent likelihood of sustaining the position following an audit. CJP's most significant position related to taxes is its charitable status and the resulting exemption from income taxes. CJP has applied this more-likely-than-not threshold to all tax positions for which the statute of limitation is open and determined that there were no material uncertain tax positions as of June 30, 2011 and 2010. It is CJP's policy to record estimated interest and penalties (if any) as part of management and general expense. Management believes that the CJP's income tax returns for fiscal years 2007 and prior are no longer subject to examination by taxing authorities. SchD_P11_S00_L08 Schedule D, Part XI, Line 8 CJP's audited financial statements are prepared on a consolidated basis including supporting foundations. The audited financial statements include $140,782 net revenue from supporting foundations. They also include $67,319 of revenue from returned grants.
