A portion of the activities of the organizations involves lobbying on higher education issues. Unfortunately, my two year old daughter was in the hospital for 10 days which kept me out of the office for most of the work days between March 23rd and April 11th. In addition, the Director of Finance and I misunderstood who was going to take the next step to file the Form 990 return. Upon my return to the office on April 11th I realized that the return had not been filed. I filed the return immediately upon recognizing the oversight.
