Tayakome:Four health supervision visits were made to Tayakome to reinforce basic health and hygiene programs with the village health promoter, the village school teachers, and health personnel at the medical post. Weekly classes were held at the school to reinforce maintenance of the bathrooms, and personal hygiene.Two maintenance visits were made to monitor the gravity flow water system and sanitation infrastructure in Tayakome. House-to-house visits were also made to address the individual needs of the families and review their tap stands. Microbiological water safety tests were also conducted (in partnership with medical post of Tayakome) to make certain the water was optimum for human consumption.Four advanced technical training and infrastructure management workshops were held in Tayakome, for the water and sanitation committee to promote long term project sustainability.Four community meetings were held with the villagers to address their overall needs, and to provide technical training at the communal level to promote long term project sustainabilityParasite and anemia testing was conducted in partnership with Peruvian health ministry personnel at Tayakome's medical post to monitor health advances in the people. (150 people participated in study.) Social Impact Study was conducted by Medical Anthropologist, and Matsigenka Expert, Dr. Glenn Shepard Jr., to evaluate project advances and monitor the social impact of our program services upon the people. Yomybato:Additional topography study was conducted and initial engineering plans were drafted for Yomybato gravity flow water system to be built in 2012.Project development in Yomybato collected 70,000 kilos of rock and sand to build the water and sanitation infrastructure in 2012 Two community meetings were held to discuss project implementation of the clean water system in 2012. Huacaria:Two supervision visits were made to the village to perform overall yearly maintenance of the water infrastructure built in 2004 -2005, and to give advanced training to village water and sanitation committee.
