The hospital, clinic, schools and farm serve the city of Mbujimayi. Mbujimayi is located in the center-south region of Congo, in the Eastern Kasai region. The third largest city in Congo, Mbujimayi, has a population of more than three million people. It is a largely underdeveloped area with a total lack of basic infrastructure. Only a small percentage of the people have access to electricity and running water. War, political uncertainty, and economic collapse have left many people without basic essentials, especially women and children.
