This modern, certified "green" Ronald McDonald House is the first Ronald McDonald House built to LEED Platinum standards in the world. It is a highly-efficient, high-performing state of the art thirty guest room lodging facility serving families from forty-six Central Texas counties. Annually, the Ronald McDonald House serves over 700 families of seriously ill or injured children who are receiving care in an Austin area hospital. No other organizations duplicate the services provided by the Ronald McDonald House. 230486 The Ronald McDonald Family Room Programs located in the Women's Center of St. David's North Austin Medical Center, Dell Childrens' Medical Center and in St. David's Medical Center make our program services available to over 1,000 families annually. The programs focus on providing respite and overnight lodging to families with babies in the NeoNatal Intensive Care Unit of the hospital. 54909 The Healing Hearts program provides financial assistance to families in the Austin area who have experienced the death of a child. The program is not limited to the families who have stayed at the Ronald McDonald House. The maximum amount of support is $700. The program is able to assist an average of 100 families annually. The grantees must use the funds awarded for the specific purpose of their original intent. RMHC requires detailed accounting of all funds awarded. The detailed accounting is to be completed 60 days after completion of the project and returned to Ronald McDonald House Charities of Austin and Central Texas. Grantees understand that any funds not used in the manner specified in the Letter of Agreement will be returned to RMHC. Any request for a revision regarding use of funds must receive prior approval and be submitted in writing to RMHC.
