In 2012, it hired three Licensed Clincal Social Workers to provide counseling, each one quaified to perform the Global Assessment of Functioning. GAF scores measure the effectiveness of counseling intervention in assisting each participant through her/his grief process. In addition, in 2012, AdHoc provided a 24-hour hotline, where reports of violence were received anonymously, and funds paid out to callers when tips helped police solve homicides. Seventeen tips came in that assisted detectives in solving cases. AdHoc's President spoke at 27 funerals, and when families needed financial assistance, the organization served as an intermediary between the funeral home and the KCPD Victim Support Unit staff. AdHoc held its 3rd Annual City-Wide Prayer Vigil for 300 plus family members victimized by homicide. It was one of several community organizations that planned programs and activities for the 2012 National Crime Victim's Week. It held its Third Annual Community Guardian Award Celebration where over 300 persons attended, and awards were presented in area of "community guardianship", "justice", "giving back to our city", and "safety of children".
