Neighborhood Housing - Our goal is to restore community pride within Knoxvilles neighborhoods by building modestly priced homes and offering assistance with the purchas price. In 2012, 5 homes were sold in our inner city neighborhoods. Operation Backyard - This minor home repair program provides materials and recruits volunteers to provide home repairs for needy families who own their own homes. In 2012, Operation Backyard served 103 families with 1,192 volunteers. Southeastern Housing Foundation - SHF develops and operates multi-family housing for at-risk and low-income individuals and families. In 2012, SHF operated a 48-unit permanent supportive housing facility and a 24-unit affordable housing apartment complex.
