The Finance Committee engaged the Executive Director and a skilled, volunteer finance person to complete the form. The completed form was reviewed and approved by the Committee and forwarded to the full Board for information. Board members typically are or have been employees associated with Howard County human service agencies. In this context potential conflicts are readily apparent. The compensation was set by the Board's Executive Committee and incorporated into the annual budget. Announcements are made about the availability of governing documents, conflict of interest policy,and financial statements. The interested public is easily able to reach ACS and make a request.
