Municipal consulting services were provided to twelve municipalities during 2012. Our work in regional watershed planning, public education and historic preservation continues. Over 200 students attended an educational field trip at the Bristol Marsh Preserve. 649436 138650 Property Management Preserving our natural and historic heritage by property management; at the close of 2012, we were maintaining conservation easements on 6,554 acres, managing an additional 59 properties we own, in addition to managing 147 acres with Restrictive Deed Covenants. As of the reporting period, Heritage Conservancy is Land Trust Beneficiary for 840 acres.Major conservation accomplishments of 2012 include the protection of an additional 257 acres, including the conservation of a 67 acre property of ecological significance in the Cooks Creek Lasting Landscape.
